AlibreObjectModel.Mcp (.NET tool)

AlibreObjectModel.Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It exposes the Alibre Design CAD API (parts, sketches, features, parameters) as MCP tools over stdio. Use it from Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or any MCP client.

Requirements

• Windows x64.
• Alibre Design 29.x, installed and running. This server drives Alibre over COM. It does not redistribute AlibreX.dll; it loads that at runtime from your licensed Alibre install.
• .NET 8+ runtime for dotnet tool install, or the .NET 10 SDK for dnx.

Installation

dotnet tool install --global AlibreObjectModel.Mcp

Run it without installing (needs the .NET 10 SDK):

dnx AlibreObjectModel.Mcp --yes

• alibre_attach: attach to the running Alibre instance
• alibre_status: list all open sessions (name, type, which is active)
• alibre_version: report the server version
• active_session_info: details on the active session

• get_part_summary: body / face / edge / vertex counts, volume, surface area
