Summary

Representative things you can do with this library

  • Access the object's source memory
    1. Modify readonly fields
    2. Get or modify the value of non-public fields
    3. Get or modify the typehandle or methodtable value
  • Memory data copy
  • Memory data compare
  • Reference value compare
  • Get address of the object
  • Convert pointer value to original type
  • Build a complete manual memory management system
    1. You can free the memory when you want
    2. You can flexibly adjust the life of the object
    3. You can safely get the address of the correct object at any time (Only objects allocated by NativeInstance)
  • Copy memory datas from one object type to another public type
(Only if the field layout is the same or the objects are the same size will the copy be successful)
(Type accessible from external library, regardless of which field is non-public)

Performance

Vs. Reflection

(old benchmark results) 0SuperComicLib.LowLevel is always faster than System.Reflection when copying the entire object memory. See here for more details.

Vs. GC

You can release memory when you want. Much more powerful than GC.

(I will replace it with translated benchmark data in the near future) See here (ko-kr)
