Originally published as pepoluan.xoshiro
This is a hand-optimized C# implementation of the xoshiro/xoroshiro PRNG family created by Sebastiano Vigna and David Blackman.
NO unsafe code is used, yet it is as performant as -- if not more performant than -- System.Random
. Here's a non-exhaustive proof.
