ThinkGeo.Oracle

ThinkGeo.Oracle is a layer extension to ThinkGeo.Core that connects to Oracle Spatial and renders feature data and GeoRaster imagery on the map. Built on Oracle Instant Client v23.8 (Basic edition) and the GDAL Oracle drivers (ogr_OCI for vector, gdal_GEOR for raster).

Overview

Capabilities:

  • Vector: Read OracleSpatial (SDO_GEOMETRY) feature tables as map layers; spatial query push-down via OCI.
  • Raster: Read Oracle GeoRaster imagery as raster layers.
  • No separate Oracle Instant Client install on the target machine - the Oracle binaries ship inside the dependency package.

Targets: .NET Framework 4.6.2+ and .NET Standard 2.1 (covers .NET Core 3.1, .NET 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9). Platforms: Windows x64.

Depends on ThinkGeo.Core plus ThinkGeo.Dependency.Oracle for the native binaries. Pair with a UI package for your platform - see ThinkGeo.Core for the full list.

Note: The Oracle Instant Client binaries are subject to Oracle's OTN License Agreement (free for development and production redistribution, with flow-through conditions). See the dependency package's LICENSE.txt for details.
