TagBites.IO.WinDrive

Nuget .NET 8.0 Windows License Downloads

Mount any TagBites.IO file system - local disk, FTP, ZIP, Dropbox, S3, a virtual composed tree, etc. - as a real Windows drive letter, using Dokan.

Requires the Dokan driver to be installed on the machine, and targets net8.0-windows.

Install

dotnet add package TagBites.IO.WinDrive

Targets net8.0-windows. Depends on DokanNet and the Dokan driver.

Usage

var directory = FileSystem.Local.GetDirectory("D:/Files");

using var drive = new WinDrive(directory) { MountPoint = "V:\\" };
drive.Mount(); // "V:\" is browsable in Explorer and any other application

Console.ReadLine(); // Mount returns at once - the drive lives as long as the process

Any DirectoryLink can be mounted, so the same code exposes an FTP server, an S3 bucket or a ZIP archive as a drive.

Options, the Dokan requirement and limits: documentation.
