Core domain library for Sidub Licensing — entities, services, and business logic for license management, entitlements, and consumption tracking.

What's in this package

This package defines the shared domain model consumed by both the client SDK (Sidub.Licensing.Client) and the server SDK (Sidub.Licensing.Server). Most applications don't reference it directly — install Sidub.Licensing.Client for a consuming app or Sidub.Licensing.Server for a backend service, and this package comes along as a transitive dependency.

Key types:

• License, Seat, LicenseStatus, SeatQuantity — a licence (what was bought: term, price, features) and its seats
• LicenseAuthorization, LicenseCredential, LicenseIssuer, SeatIssuance — a seat's signed authorization, its credentials (ServiceKeyId names the key that signs every answer to one), and the issuer
• AllowanceGrant, AllowanceReading, IAllowanceGrantProvider, SignatureLayout — the signed units an SDK reserves from a seat's allowance, the signed figures of its period, the contract that takes and returns them, and the layout a signed answer names
• ILicenseAssertion, LicenseAssertion<TFeature> and the feature assertions (ServiceAccessLicenseAssertion, RateLimitLicenseAssertion, QuotaLicenseAssertion) — feature checks
• ILicenseFeature (ServiceAccessLicenseFeature, RateLimitLicenseFeature, QuotaLicenseFeature — an allowance carries its Allowance only), ILicenseFeatureState, IConsumptionEvent, ConsumptionEvent<T> — feature and consumption tracking
• ILicensingService, its AssertAllowance and ReadAllowanceState extensions, LicensingMemoryCache — the enforcement surface both SDKs implement, and its own cache
• AllowanceExhaustedException, RateLimitException, LicenseAuthorizationUnavailableException, LicenseAuthorizationDeniedException (reason ProductMismatch for a seat of another seller or product), LicenseVerificationException, LicensingApiException — the typed failures
• LicensingServiceOptions — strongly typed configuration options, including IssuerClientId and ProductId, which bind an application to its seller and product

Install

dotnet add package Sidub.Licensing

Built on Sidub.Platform 1.11.4. A signature covers the entity's name as well as its fields, so a signed answer verifies only between a server and an SDK both on Sidub.Platform 1.11.2 or later.

Usage

Reach for this package directly when you need the domain types on their own — for example, to resolve a LicensingContext for a custom credential provider:

Most applications should instead install Sidub.Licensing.Client (apps and services calling the licensing API) or Sidub.Licensing.Server (backend hosts enforcing licenses) — both depend on this package and expose the higher-level DI extensions (AddSidubLicensing(), AddSidubLicensingServer()) covered in the .NET integration guide.
