Relatude.DB isn't a traditional database. It is an open-source, object-oriented graph database and application layer where your C# classes serve as the schema.

If you are building a system that needs to crunch billions of rows, use a dedicated system. The upper practical limit for Relatude.DB is somewhere around 100 million objects. This isn't a hard system limit, but it's the boundary where you should considering specialized distributed architectures.

However, within that space, Relatude.DB is incredibly fast. Because it runs in-process and avoids the overhead of mapping layers, you will find it significantly outperforms typical ORM setups like Entity Framework or other in-process databases like SQLite.
