Installation

Templates

openmaui-linux-app

Basic Linux app with code-based UI.

dotnet new openmaui-linux-app -n MyApp
cd MyApp
dotnet run

openmaui-linux-xaml-app

Full XAML support with standard MAUI syntax.

dotnet new openmaui-linux-xaml-app -n MyXamlApp
cd MyXamlApp
dotnet run

Requirements

  • .NET 10.0 SDK or later
  • Linux with X11 or Wayland
  • SkiaSharp native dependencies (libSkiaSharp.so)

OpenMaui 10.0.110.5:
- A window with OpenMaui's own title bar (Wayland, GNOME) showed no sign it could be resized
- Resizing a window with a complex page was slow
- An idle window kept drawing whole frames while a hidden view animated
- Syncfusion chips and buttons redrew themselves every frame
- A crash (SIGSEGV in memcpy) when images were evicted from the image cache
- `OPENMAUI_TRACE_INVALIDATE=1` printed nothing from a release package
