MTS.Services.Abstraction

Service contracts and helpers for AutoMapper registration, dynamic sorting, and Entity Framework Core pagination.

Framework compatibility

Targets .NET 8, 9, and 10 with matching EF Core major versions. This replaces the former .NET Standard 2.1 / EF Core 3.0 target. Applications must target .NET 8 or later and install their chosen EF Core provider and any design-time tools directly.

Main APIs

  • Implement IMapperConfigurator and supply the configurators plus an ILoggerFactory to AutoMapperRegistration to create the shared mapper.
  • Use SortHelper with the mapper registration and EF DbContext for supported property-based sorting.
  • Use Paginator<TEntity> with an IConfiguration<TEntity> and ISearchProcessor<TEntity> for asynchronous EF query pagination. These pagination APIs are in the MTS.UI.Pagination namespace.
  • PagedList<T> provides synchronous pagination and conversion of results.
  • Identity and migration service interfaces provide application integration contracts.

Paginator<TEntity>.Paginate accepts FilterOptions and a query factory. Supply a query backed by an EF Core async provider; an ordinary in-memory IQueryable does not implement the required async operations. Configure mapping, filterable properties, and sortable properties for your application's entities.
