This package (EntityFramework.IBM.DB2 6.5.0) provides Entity Framework 6.5 support for IBM Db2 and targets .NET Framework 4.6.1+ and .NET Standard 2.1.

For .NET Framework apps, support is Windows-based (IBM Db2 Data Server Driver in GAC). For .NET Standard 2.1 apps, platform support depends on the availability of the IBM Db2 ADO.NET driver package for your OS/runtime.

Getting Started

.NET Framework (App/Web.config)

No additional code-based configuration is required. The provider registers automatically via the standard <entityFramework> configuration section.

.NET Standard 2.1 or .NET 8+ (Code-Based Configuration)

Applications targeting .NET Standard 2.1 or .NET 8.0+ require code-based EF6 provider configuration:

Known Limitations

# Description Workaround
1 EDM creation may fail when the project targets the x64 platform (EF6 designer limitation). Move the EF model to a separate Any CPU project referenced by the x64 startup project, or target Any CPU directly.
