Built-in EAC runtime plugin for networking diagnostics.

Diagnostics

  • EACNET001: detects manual new HttpClient(...) creation. Remediation is recipe-driven because the right fix depends on the host shape:
    • ASP.NET Core, Worker, Generic Host, or CLI with DI: prefer IHttpClientFactory, typed clients, or named clients.
    • Simple CLI/library without DI: prefer long-lived clients configured with SocketsHttpHandler.PooledConnectionLifetime, or accept an externally-owned HttpClient.
    • Cookie-dependent clients require explicit review because Microsoft documents handler pooling and CookieContainer caveats with IHttpClientFactory.
