DocWright.Formats.Html
HTML import and export for DocWright: a tolerant, dependency-free HTML5-shaped parser, a documented CSS subset, and a document-to-HTML writer with self-contained and linked output modes.
Install
dotnet add package DocWright.Formats.Html
Most people should install DocWright
instead — it includes this package and wires .html into Load and Save.
Export a document to HTML
using DocWright;
var converter = new DocWrightConverter();
using var document = converter.Load(File.OpenRead("report.docx"));
using FileStream output = File.Create("report.html");
converter.Save(document, output, ".html");
Import HTML
using DocWright;
var converter = new DocWrightConverter();
using var document = converter.Load(File.OpenRead("page.html"));
using FileStream pdf = File.Create("page.pdf");
converter.Convert(document, pdf);
Self-contained or linked
The writer can emit a single file with images inlined as data URIs, or a document plus linked image files — pick whichever suits how you are going to serve it.
Tolerant by design
Real-world HTML is malformed. The parser recovers the way a browser does — implied tags, unclosed elements, stray markup — rather than refusing the input.
Dependency-free
No third-party HTML or CSS libraries. The parser, the CSS subset and the writer are all part of this package.
Requirements
.NET Framework 4.8, .NET Standard 2.0, .NET 8.0 or .NET 10.0.

DocWright
Convert, render and edit Word documents in .NET — no Microsoft Word, no Office interop, no native dependencies. Reads DOCX and legacy DOC, renders to PDF and PNG/JPEG, saves to DOCX, HTML, Markdown, RTF, text, ODT, EPUB and RDL, rasterizes existing PDFs, and edits documents through a mutable model with find/replace, placeholder filling, content controls and tracked changes. This is the main package: install it for the whole pipeline. |
