CoreSuite ControlSlider

CoreSuite.ControlSlider is a non-visual Windows Forms component that allows one control to be dragged with the mouse while keeping it inside the client area of a parent container.

Installation

dotnet add package CoreSuite.ControlSlider

Usage

Add a ControlSlider component to the form using the Visual Studio Toolbox, then assign its Parent and Child properties. It can also be configured in code:

Dim Slider As New ControlSlider With {
    .Parent = CanvasPanel,
    .Child = MovablePanel
}

The user can then drag MovablePanel with the left mouse button. Its position is automatically constrained so that it remains entirely within CanvasPanel.

Notes

Parent should contain the control assigned to Child.
Movement uses the parent container's client size.
The component automatically manages the required mouse event handlers when its properties change.
The package has no dependency on other CoreSuite packages.
