Box.Middleware.Maintenance

Box.Middleware.Maintenance is a .NET library for handling application maintenance mode using a middleware-based approach. It provides dynamic configuration support via appsettings.json, allowing full control over maintenance state and test bypass functionality.

With Box.Middleware.Maintenance, you can:

  • Define and manage maintenance mode settings from configuration
  • Enable or disable maintenance mode dynamically without restart
  • Customize the maintenance response message from configuration
  • Bypass maintenance mode using a configurable subdomain prefix (e.g., test.api.mysite.com)
  • Ensure all requests (including Swagger, Hangfire, etc.) return the maintenance response when active
  • Use a strongly-typed, easy-to-use middleware package for seamless integration
