WinUIEx.Maps is source-available under the following dual-license terms. You may use the software under either the Noncommercial License or the Commercial License, as applicable.

1. Noncommercial License

Permission is granted, free of charge, to use, copy, modify, and distribute this software and its documentation solely for noncommercial purposes.

Noncommercial purposes include personal projects, education, academic research, evaluation, and charitable work that is not primarily intended for commercial advantage or monetary compensation.

This license does not permit use by or for a commercial entity, use in a paid product or service, internal business use, consulting or contract work, or any other activity intended to generate revenue or commercial advantage.

2. Commercial License

Commercial use is permitted only while the individual or legal entity using the software maintains an active GitHub Sponsorship of Morten Nielsen at a tier of at least USD $10 per month:

While that sponsorship remains active, the sponsor is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, copy, modify, distribute, and include the software in commercial products and services. Affiliates, contractors, and customers are covered only to the extent necessary to use or support the sponsor's product or service; they do not receive an independent commercial license.

If the qualifying sponsorship ends or falls below USD $10 per month, commercial use must stop unless another written commercial license has been obtained from the copyright holder. Products already distributed to customers may continue to be used by those customers, but no new commercial use, distribution, updates, or support releases containing the software are permitted.

3. Conditions

The copyright notice and this license must be included in all copies or substantial portions of the software. Rights granted by this license do not include trademarks, service marks, or branding.

Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses as described in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md.
