Jerry, a static web server based on ASP.NET Core

Install

You can choose either method to install Jerry

Compiled Binaries (AOT)

Download executable for your OS platform in Release, without installing .NET runtime.

.NET Tool

Requires .NET 10.0 SDK

dotnet tool install -g Jerry

Docker

docker pull ediwang/jerry

Usage

As .NET Tool or Standalone Executable

Options:
  -d, --directory <directory>      Web content directory. [default: .]
  -p, --port <port>                HTTP server port. Must be between 1 and 65535. [default: 8080]
  --use-https                      Enable HTTPS
  --directory-browser              Directory browser
  -v, --verbose                    Verbose log
  --no-cache                       Disable browser caching for served responses.
  --spa-fallback                   Serve index.html for unknown extensionless paths.
  --cert <cert>                    Path to a PFX certificate file for HTTPS.
  --cert-password <cert-password>  Password for the PFX certificate file.
  --cert-password-env <cert-password-env>  Environment variable name that contains the PFX certificate password.
  --version                        Show version information
  -?, -h, --help                   Show help and usage information

Examples

Serve current directory on port 8080

jerry -d .

Serve E:\Workspace\wwwtest on port 8080 with directory browser

jerry -d "E:\Workspace\wwwtest" --directory-browser

Serve a single-page app and disable browser caching

jerry -d "E:\Workspace\spa-dist" --spa-fallback --no-cache

Serve E:\Workspace\wwwtest with HTTPS and a PFX certificate
