Jalium.UI is under active development. The current source/release line is
v26.10.8; APIs can still evolve between minor versions. Keep every

Window.ResolveCursorreturns the standard arrow for disabled elements so hover state cannot be confused with enabled controls.

Binding source resolution is DataContext first, then code-behind fallback.
Update behavior:

Compile-time lowering
The JALXAML source generator lowers the following at build time so there is no runtime parsing cost in the hot path:
@if/@else if/@elsechains.@section/@RenderSection.- Value expressions (
@Path,@(expr)). {Binding ...}viaSetCompiledBinding(SGSplitParametersis kept line-for-line consistent with the runtime parser).- Custom-xmlns element types — when a
.jalxamluses a controls library exposed throughXmlnsDefinition, the SG resolves the CLR type at compile time instead of falling back to runtime reflection (helps trimming / AOT).
Setter.Value is intentionally NOT lowered.

Prerequisites
- A .NET 10 SDK compatible with
global.json(the repository currently pins a prerelease feature band) - CMake 3.25+ and a C++20 toolchain
- Visual Studio with the C++ workload and v145 toolset for the standard Windows x64 native solution
- Vulkan SDK for that standard Windows native solution; reduced custom configurations can omit Vulkan
- Ninja, Clang/GCC, and X11/Wayland development packages for Linux (see the Linux guide)
- Android NDK 27.2.12479018 for the default Android build (override deliberately through
JALIUM_ANDROID_NDK_VERSION)

Run shell scripts from a Linux/WSL checkout that preserves LF line endings. If a Windows checkout rewrites them to CRLF, Bash rejects them before the Jalium build starts.

The VSIX can be installed into either:

If .jalxaml IntelliSense only shows raw XML suggestions, verify the extension is installed in the same instance you are using.
Compatibility Notes
- Jalium.UI is not positioned as a drop-in WPF replacement yet.
- API names and behavior are intentionally close to familiar WPF concepts, but differences exist.
- Keep package versions aligned across all
Jalium.UI.*packages.
