Ghostscript.NativeAssets

Optional NuGet package that ships Ghostscript and GhostPDL native libraries for use with Ghostscript.NET.

Included assets

This package tracks Ghostscript 10.08.0. NuGet represents the package version as 10.8.0-rc.1 because numeric version components cannot contain leading zeroes.

gsdll / libgs handle PDF, PostScript, and EPS. gpdldll / libgpdl is GhostPDL and is used for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Call GhostscriptOffice.Unlock(key) for a full Office document; without a key, conversion is limited to the first 3 pages.

The ghostscript.version metadata file next to each native library allows GhostscriptVersionInfo to report the bundled Ghostscript product version.

Package versions are managed in the repository Versions.props file. Ghostscript.NET resolves libraries in this order:

Explicit path / GhostscriptVersionInfo supplied by the caller
Bundled NativeAssets (app-local)
System Ghostscript installation

Licensing

This package distributes Ghostscript and GhostPDL native binaries. Use is subject to the GNU AGPL v3 or a commercial license from Artifex. Full Office conversion requires a Ghostscript.NET.Office license key.

There are no supported framework assets in this package.
