DocWright.Layout
Style resolution and the layout engine for DocWright — the stage that turns a document into positioned pages, lines, cells and shapes ready for a renderer.
Install
dotnet add package DocWright.Layout
Most people should install DocWright
instead — it includes this package, and layout runs as part of any conversion.
What it does
Style resolution flattens the cascade — document defaults, styles and their bases, numbering, theme fonts and colours, toggle properties, table conditional formatting — into one concrete set of properties per run and paragraph, with every measurement a whole number of twips.
Layout then produces pages: line breaking, justification, tab stops, page and column breaks, keep-with-next and widow/orphan control, table row breaking and repeated header rows, floating objects and text wrapping, headers, footers, footnotes and endnotes.
Font preflight
The one part of this package you may want directly: check which fonts a document needs before paying for a full conversion.

That lets a service decide whether to install a font, accept the substitution, or refuse the job, rather than shipping a document rendered in the wrong typeface.
Integer arithmetic
Every measurement is a whole number of twips. Layout results are therefore identical across platforms and framework versions — the same document lays out the same way on Windows, Linux and macOS, on .NET Framework and .NET 10.
Cancellation and limits
Layout observes cancellation and ResourceLimits.MaxWallClockTime at block, table-row,
section and page boundaries, so a pathological document can be stopped rather than running
to completion.
