Benevia.Core.Generator Summary

Benevia.Core.Generator provides shared source generator infrastructure used across other Benevia Core generator packages.

This package includes:

Common helpers for entity and property analysis in Roslyn generators
Shared constants and extension methods for source generation
Base infrastructure consumed by Benevia.Core.API.Generator, Benevia.Core.Events.Generator, and others

Entity display metadata

Entity analysis reads Display.Name and Description from the entity symbol, including its partial declarations. It checks base types for inherited attributes, using the nearest declaration of each attribute. Nonblank labels remain unchanged. Missing labels use sentence case, and missing descriptions use an empty string. The Events generator emits both values as escaped C# string literals.

src/Shared/LabelFormatting.cs is linked into Generator, API, and Client. This keeps fallback formatting identical without adding runtime dependencies on Roslyn or a generator dependency on Client. Client's public LabelFormatter delegates to the shared formatter.
