Umbraco Translator

This package adds Weglot translation to an Umbraco site. It automatically rewrites URLs with a language prefix and handles SEO-friendly hreflang alternate links, and ships a ready-to-use language switcher partial view. It also caches translated pages to reduce the number of calls to the Weglot API.

We make multi-lingual sites easy.

Configuration

Add a WeglotTranslations section to your site's appsettings.json:

WeglotApiKey — your Weglot API key (from your Weglot project settings).
CacheDurationInSeconds — how long a translated page is cached before it's re-translated. Set to 0 to disable caching entirely.
LicenseKey — the license issued to you when you purchase the package. See Licensing below — without it, translation is switched off entirely.

From here simply add languages into your Umbraco back office and see your site automatically translate.

Licensing

This package requires a paid license to serve translated pages. A license covers three domains — your live/production site, plus one dev environment and one UAT environment — and every subdomain of each, so a license for client-site.com also covers www.client-site.com, fr.client-site.com and uat.client-site.com. You can build and test against non-production URLs under the same license as production.
